A candle warmer is a device that distributes the scent of a wax candle throughout a space without the use of an open flame. This device includes a light, (which is the heat source that melts the wax), and outlet plug. 

A candle warmer does not evaporate wax. Unlike an open flame, which consumes the wax as fuel, the candle warmer’s gentle heat only melts the wax, allowing it to release its fragrance. The melted wax remains within the container and does not dissipate into the air. However, overtime the candle warmer will evaporate the fragrance. Fragrance evaporation depends on your usage and frequency.
